SEN Tutor for looked after Children
Location: Greenwich
Start Date: September 2024
Pay: £20-£30 per hour

Are you reliable and have excellent timekeeping skills?
TeacherActive are recruiting for a Maths & English \Tutors for May 2024. You will be working on a one-to-one basis, or in small groups with pupils that have SEMH and ASD needs. A SEN Tutor will work in educational settings or other venues - such as in libraries or at the home of the pupil.
To be considered for this role as a SEN Tutor you need to have:
Confidence in delivering lessons 1:1 or in small groups
Can teach Maths & English
Be Available 3-5 days a week
Confident working independently in the home
Ability to connect with children and families effectively and build trusting relationships
Excellent  KS1/KS2/KS3/KS4 curriculum knowledge ( Can be any)
Ability to differentiate the curriculum in a creative and bespoke manner
Experience with and understanding of working with SEMH/SEN
Prior experience working alongside pupils with SEND
Good general education levels in English and Maths
Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning difficulties and disabilities (SEMH, ASC, challenging behaviour)
Ability to adapt to various working environments and students with differing abilities
Practical approach to the needs of students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities
Good interpersonal and communication skill and a caring attitude
Flexibility in terms of working patterns
