TeacherActive are currently supporting one of our partner primary schools in recruiting an unqualified PE Teacher. This role is to start from September 2024 on a permanent basis at an Ofsted rated Outstanding School.
You will teach PE across all year groups as part of teachers PPA release. This role could be ideal for recent sports graduates or experienced sports coaches looking to move into the education sector
Duties:
To plan engaging, innovative and inspiring PE lessons to children.
To work closely with the school’s designated PE Lead.
To show good understanding of children’s safeguarding legislations.
To provide cover lessons when necessary to whole classes of children.
To nurture challenging behaviour and find effective approaches to engage children with SEN requirements.
To support the school's senior leadership team to develop the school's Physical education strategy and inspire students to participate in sports events and a healthy lifestyle.
To act as a professional of the school and trust at all times.
The ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant should:
Hold a Teaching Assistant Qualification.
Have experience working with children in at least a Teaching Assistant/TA or Cover Supervisor Level.
Have experience teaching P.E.
