The company is recruiting an ambitious, experienced sustainability professional who can lead the development of our growing ESG reporting service line. At a time of exceptional growth in the importance of robust, reliable ESG reporting services, this role will provide you with the opportunity to develop our existing reporting service to provide an expanded and innovative offering. You will be joining the advisory team and work on projects at fund and corporate levels for our global clients, providing them with market-leading advice to support them in monitoring and reporting on their progress against their ESG commitments.

The Principal Consultant for ESG Reporting is responsible for leading operations for our ESG Reporting service line. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively managing key client relationships to deliver a consistently high client satisfaction rate
  • Driving the successful growth and delivery of ESG Reporting by identifying and responding to new market opportunities and innovations, particularly those presented by net zero climate commitments
  • Providing project delivery leadership for key projects
  • Working with the Business Development team leading on technical topics during client proposals to deliver service-line growth
  • Securing new contracts with existing or new clients
  • Ensuring the service line consistently delivers best practice by driving continuous improvement
  • Working with the Senior Management Team to identify skills gaps and organise adequate training programmes
  • Fostering a positive mindset and exemplary teamwork culture within the ESG Reporting team and across the wider business
  • Acting as an industry leader and expert in the field including participating in external events
  • Working closely with Senior Management colleagues to maintain positive and constructive interactions
  • Supporting the implementation of services in newly created markets

The successful candidate will be a creative, ambitious person with strong relationship management skills, a strong track record in ESG reporting and an enthusiasm for the role data and reporting play in a successful transition to a net zero carbon economy.

They will have:

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience;
  • Experience in ESG reporting at corporate and fund level including GRESB and other industry standard ESG reporting platforms and frameworks (e.g. ISSB, CSRD, etc)
  • Experience in developing and supporting data management strategies including knowledge of data management platforms
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to manage and interpret data to inform effective decision-making.
  • Keen interest in innovation to improve reporting standards within the sector
  • Excellent relationship-management skills
  • Proven project management experience and excellent communication skills;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, in written, visual and numeric work;
  • The ability to manage multiple ongoing assignments simultaneously;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative;
  • Ability to produce structured, concise and meaningful reports, summarising results and justifying conclusions, containing very technical information;
  • Fluency (C1) in English is mandatory;
  • Coding skills (e.g. Python, R) and experience with large datasets are a bonus
