TeacherActive are looking for a  Cover Supervisors to assist with general cover in a mainstream Secondary Schools in ChelmsleyWood, Birmingham. 
Pay rates between £80-£100 per full day, depending on experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be supervising a classroom of around 25-30 students while they complete pre-prepared work when their current teacher is absent. Your main duties will be to take registers and record any absences, keep students on task and make sure work is completed, students are safe, and the classroom is left tidy. You must have strong behavioural management and classroom management skills.  
This is a flexible role to assist with general cover as and when it's needed in our schools in this area. 
This is a great opportunity for:
LSA’s / Teaching Assistants who would like to try a cover teaching role
Graduates wanting to get more hands on, classroom based experience to evidence on their personal statements or job applications
Someone who has experience working as a Sports Coach or in activity clubs such as Scouts/Girl Guides
A youth support worker
As a Cover Supervisor, you will require:
Excellent communication skills
Have a basic understanding of the National Curriculum
Over 6 months experience working in an education environment
The ability to cover a variety of subjects
Passion for working in education
Self-motivated
Confidence to manage a classroom
Be able to commit to working school hours (8:30-3:30)
