Who is the business?


Zanda is partnering with a high growth International Data Services provider within the Telecommunications sector. The business in question has circa 300 employees across the globe, is profitable and experiencing strong growth. The Founder / CEO is looking to identify a CFO Co-Pilot as the business looks to explore future growth and exit opportunities.


Therefore the business is looking to identity an experienced CFO to join the business that is knowledgeable in building business cases, scenario planning, financial modelling and investor relations to support the CEO in the selecting the best strategic route for growth.


The successful CFO will play a crucial role in the businesses objective, supporting and organising all of the finance function within the company, preparing for a possible exit and leading a finance team that will help facilitate even further growth / scale.


Alongside this the CFO will lead in building best in class processes across a broad range of areas, including strategic planning, fundraising, investor relations, board reporting, financial operations, management reporting, tax, risk, legal and compliance.


Experience you will gain:


  • Developing a best-in-class finance team covering all the key areas of strategic planning, FP&A, BI, management reporting, tax, treasury, compliance and risk.
  • Play a key role in driving the top & bottom-line target numbers.
  • Board facing role, so it is essential to be able to own and communicate the financial performance of the business.
  • Co-pilot to the CEO, supporting and challenging in areas of strategic planning, capital allocation, M&A, expansion plans, business cases, scenario planning, exit readiness etc.
  • Driving profitable growth internationally.
  • Developing the relevant metrics / KPI to support data driven strategic decisions.


What background should you have before you press apply


  • Experienced CFO that has previously operated within a Private Equity or Venture Capital backed Scaleup that has experienced growth and therefore been the finance lead in a business that has more than 200 employees.
  • In-depth experience developing a finance team that can deliver the core fundamentals required within a high growth private equity backed firm.
  • Significant experience within a industry where there are large scale bids / competitive commercial contracts such as Renewable Energy, Telco, Engineering, Facilities Management, IT Services, Business outsourcing, Infrastructure, Software.
  • Excellent investor relations, fundraising, M&A or exit experience.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong experience of working within a global / international group.
