Are you an experienced Facilities Engineer with a strong background in maintaining complex systems within a manufacturing environment? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated engineer to join one of the worlds premier global automotive suppliers in Telford.

Responsibilities:nExperience of managing and maintaining efficient operations of various systems including lighting, compressors, cooling towers, fire alarm systems, plumbing and ventilation.nConduct regular inspections to ensure proper functioning of all facilities equipment and systems.nTroubleshoot and repair any issues that arise, minimising downtime and disruptions to the manufacturing process.nDevelop and implement preventative maintenance programs to proactively address potential equipment failures.nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute equipment upgrades or modifications.nOversee the site security measures, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, equipment, and facilities.nEnsure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, identifying and mitigating risks.nMaintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.nCoordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing or repairs when necessary.nStay updated with the latest technological advancements in facilities engineering, incorporating innovative solutions when applicable.

Requirements:nMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Facilities Engineer in a manufacturing setting.n18th Edition (Essential)nPrevious leadership experience managing a team (e.g. contractors)nProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.nExcellent problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to identify and resolve issues.nAbility to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.nStrong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.nKnowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations.nKnowledge of ISO 14001.nCertifications in relevant areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, or fire safety will be an advantage.
