Our client is a leading UK manufacturer of advanced composite products, supplying Aerospace, Defence, Medical and Industrial markets. They are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their Bideford team on a permanent basis.
This is a great opportunity to join a successful, established business who have a global presence with specialist material manufacturing sites strategically positioned across the UK, Germany, Brazil, and China.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
* Actively work to support production and engineering with Quality related tasks, including measurement (including CMM, Vision & manual equipment), inspection, release of product, development and implementation of new skills and techniques in measurement
* Production of measurement reports in the form of FAIR, ISIR, PPAP and/or other methods
* Product testing in accordance with customer requirements.
* Working to specifications and prescribed systems in accordance with company, customer, legal and regulatory requirements
* Manage calibration in accordance with the company calibration system.
* Support the Quality team regarding non-conformity management or other Quality Management tasks when required.
Requirements:
* Primarily late shift working with flexibility to cover alternative shifts as necessary.
* Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex technical drawings and CAD models.
* Experience in CMM measurement, working knowledge of PC-DMIS or Aberlink including programming an advantage.
* Practical experience in use of mechanical measurement equipment.
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System, AS9100 an advantage.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift: A mix of early and late shifts (6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm) – 15% shift uplift
