Security Assurance Manager

Our client has an immediate requirement for a DV Cleared Security Assurance Manager based in Corsham, providing technical security support and assurance across the programme and the implementation, and updating of the Information Security Plan.
Initial contract for 12 months with the possibility of further extension subject to budget approval. Working a hybrid model between MOD Corsham and remotely.
Fixed term salary up to £95,000 or contract rate (via umbrella) up to £700 per day inside IR35.
IR35 STATUS: The role has been confirmed as inside IR35 and candidates would need to operate via an umbrella company for this contract or on a fixed term model with Whiteflare.
LOCATION: Hybrid - MOD Corsham and Remote
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 17:00 on the 13th June 2024.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Our client has an immediate requirement for a DV Cleared Security Assurance Manager based in Corsham, providing technical security support and assurance across the programme and the implementation, and updating of the Information Security Plan.
Specific job skills:
- Production of plus regular update and maintenance of Information Security Plan.
- Provision of security advice and guidance (as the final filter) to the formal review of project documents.
- Maintenance of the Project Security Aspects Letter to include updates for the PQQ, ITT and contract award processes plus additional updates on an as required basis.
- Production, refinement and testing of Security Requirements in conjunction with DD, DIO, Stratcom and wider MOD staff.Determination of the implications and impact of these requirements, translating them into a list of related actions, risks and issues.
- Testing and validation of proposed (contractor) solutions from a security perspective - to include marking (from a security perspective) of ITT submissions.
- Producing Project Security Risk Balance Cases
- Researching and production followed by submission and monitoring progression and final decision from the Risk Owner.Maintaining a register to record such information.
- Conducting regular liaison with Project Accreditor throughout life cycle of the Project - in particular, engaging with him to ensure gradual and timely completion of the Accreditation Evidence Statement by the due date (TBC).
- Provision of project-specific advice (to include, if required, site visits) and monitoring progress made against site security uplifts.
- Providing bespoke and specific technical security advice to tech refresh programmes.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Significant experience of providing technical security support on Government projects
- Understanding of security policy and requirements (JSP 440, JSP 604 etc)
- Proven experience within an MOD / Defence Digital environment
- DV clearance
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE, Hold some of the following Accreditations:
- CCP SIRA qualified
- Ex CLAS
- NIST
- CISSP,
- CISSM,
- ISO27001
KEY INFO:
As this contract is inside IR35 candidates would need to operate via an umbrella company.
Expectation to split role between MOD Corsham and remote working.
