Description
We are seeking two experienced Shuttering Joiners to join our clients skilled construction team. As Shuttering Joiner, you will play a vital role in various construction projects, ensuring the accurate and timely installation of formwork for concrete structures. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent woodworking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Measure and cut materials to the required size and shape, ensuring accuracy and precision in accordance with project specifications.
Install and assemble formwork for concrete structures, including walls, foundations, and slabs.
Construct and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures as needed.
Ensure all formwork components are securely fixed and supported.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, steel fixers, and concrete workers, to complete construction projects.
Maintain and repair formwork as needed, ensuring it remains in optimal condition.
Follow health and safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Shuttering Joiner in the construction industry
Relevant qualifications.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans and drawings.
Strong woodworking skills with the ability to accurately measure and cut materials.
Knowledge of different types of formwork systems and their applications
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a construction setting
Physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and adapt to changing project requirements.Barker Ross Group values diversity and promotes equality.
