Our client, a leading specialist in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer (Offshore) on a contract basis to join their team in Leatherhead for an initial 12-month period. This role offers an immediate start and involves contributing to an Offshore FEED Project with potential hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing electrical systems for various energy transition projects, including FEED and EPC work
Developing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and load lists for electrical distribution power systems
Sizing and specifying High Voltage (HV) equipment and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems
Creating and updating design philosophies, specifications, and datasheets
Implementing designs for brownfield modifications and new platform tie-ins
Ensuring compliance with BP Standards and UK North Sea Practices
Collaborating with the lead engineer and supporting a multidisciplinary team
Job Requirements:
Experience in designing electrical systems for energy transition projects
Strong understanding of offshore electrical distribution power systems
Proficiency in creating and developing SLDs, load lists, and HV equipment specifications
Knowledge of BP Standards and UK North Sea Practices
Ability to develop design philosophies, specifications, and datasheets
Capability to implement brownfield modifications and tie-in new platforms during the FEED stage
Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
