Information Security Officer

Locke & McCloud have partnered with a global legal services firm who are looking to grow a well- established Information Security function.
Keen to hear from individuals that have worked in highly regulated environments and have a clear track record of delivering on team project work.
This role reports into the Information Security Manager.
Key Responsibilities:nPerform vendor risk assessments and evaluate security risks.nAssess security risks linked with both third-party vendors and internal projects.nApply risk management principles to identify, assess, and prioritise security risks.nCollaborate with project managers and technical teams to assess security risks and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.nPerform regular reviews and audits to verify adherence to security policies, standards, and regulatory mandates.nAssist in creating and enforcing security policies, standards, and procedures concerning vendor management and project security.nDeliver necessary security awareness training and guidance across the organisation.nGuide and contribute towards the mentorship of junior members within the governance team.
About you:nBachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.nProfessional certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or CISA (highly desirable).n4+ years of experience in information security.nStrong knowledge of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices.nFamiliarity and hands-on experience with security frameworks such as ISO27001 and the NIST Cyber Security Framework.nExcellent knowledge and understanding of information security risks and threats, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential areas for improvement.
