Position: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Midlands/ Anglia areas
Salary: >£36.5k DOE
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our client who is a leading turnkey engineering firm.
The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for:
General Mechanical duties
Installation of mechanical equipment such as motors, gearboxes, bearings
Fitting of steel support systems
Fault finding on mechanical equipment, Identifying the root causes of mechanical malfunctions, whether they occur unexpectedly (reactive) or as part of planned maintenance and devising effective solutions.
Works can be varied and at times may be required to undertake other duties such as assisting an Electrician or Civils engineer
Implement all the company’s rules or procedures within the Health and Safety Policy that are appropriate to the activities being undertaken.
Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements and rules on Site.
Other responsibilities for the Mechanical Fitter
To understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures
Comply with company Health and Safety policies, procedures and codes of practice
Demonstrate and uphold Company values
Essential for the Mechanical Fitter
Mechanical apprenticeship or level 3 Mechanical qualification as minimum
Desirable
Lifting operations qualified (CPCS)
Confined Space trained (Current)
CSCS Card holder
First Aid (Desirable)
Health and Safety trained (IOSH)
