A well–established manufacturer of automated special purpose machinery is seeking an experienced Machine Build Engineer with manual machining skills to join their team.

The Role

In this role, you will be working on their automated machinery, building it from scratch using engineering drawings. Their complex machinery is pneumatically controlled.

Your responsibilities will also include manually machining new and modifying components for the machinery using lathes and mills.

You will be required to attend customer sites to assist with installation work, and you will be involved in the testing and certification of machinery.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work hands–on with cutting–edge technology and make a significant impact on our operations.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with a minimum qualification of GNVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a related field (higher qualifications preferred).

You should have experience of assembling / fitting special purpose machinery.

Knowledge on pneumatics is highly beneficial.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical engineering drawings is essential.

Experience with manual machining using lathes and mills is also required.

Offering up to 44k per annum plus a competitive benefits package.
