LV (AP) Electrician

Our client is one of the UK's leading facilities management and professional services companies, delivering a broad range of integrated services. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage (LV) AP Electrician to join our team in the Lambeth area.
Job Description
As a Low Voltage AP Electrician at Mitie, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our low voltage systems. This includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various electrical systems within our client's premises. You will be responsible for both scheduled and emergency call-out services.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair low voltage electrical systems including security systems, data cabling, fire alarms, and telecommunications.
System Commissioning: Perform initial testing and commissioning of new low voltage systems.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and electrical codes.
Supervision: Oversee junior electricians and apprentices, providing guidance and support.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues in low voltage systems.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Call Outs: Respond promptly to emergency call-outs as part of a rotating schedule.
Qualifications and Skills
Certification: NVQ Level 2 or above in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
Experience: Proven experience as a low voltage electrician, with a strong background in maintenance and installation.
Licensure: Valid Authorised Person (AP) certification.
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence preferred.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical principles.
Safety Training: Knowledge of safety standards and regulations, such as OSHA or NFPA 70E.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
