To strengthen our team, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Senior Mental Health CAMHS Practitioner (RMN/SW/OT) to join us on a temporary basis.
Job Description: As a Locum Senior Mental Health CAMHS Practitioner (Band 6), you will play a pivotal role in delivering specialist mental health support to children and adolescents across Worcestershire. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and deliver interventions to promote the well-being and resilience of young people experiencing mental health difficulties. This role offers a hybrid working model, combining office-based and remote work to provide flexibility and support work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents referred to CAMHS, including risk assessments and formulation of care plans.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, to address a range of mental health issues.
Collaborate with families, carers, and external agencies to support young people's holistic well-being and promote positive outcomes.
Offer consultation and support to colleagues within CAMHS and across partner agencies to enhance understanding and management of mental health issues in young people.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with professional and organizational standards.
Requirements:
Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), Social Worker (SW), or Occupational Therapist (OT) with a valid professional registration.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with young people and their families.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and autonomously when required.
Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care and promoting the well-being of children and adolescents.
Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a hybrid working model.
