Type: Full time, Permanent, hybrid working.
36.5 hour week, 4.5 day working week, Mon-Fri.

SRG is working with an innovative engineering organisation who produce highly advanced and technical products for a variety of industries such as aerospace, security and defence across the world. Our client is going through an exciting period of growth and is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team.
The successful engineer will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and scientists to develop and maintain market leading products within agreed timescales and budgets. The purpose of the role is to design, develop and support products to meet customer expectations and comply with all relevant specifications and standards. The role will take a holistic approach to product design and development in a mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering environment, taking into account factors such as safety, cost, ease of manufacture and through life support. The role will have a focus on Research and Development and Non-recurring engineering.
Role / Description
Design documentation including specifications, drawings, design calculations, models, technical reports, test and trials procedures and plans for highly specific and world leading products.
Design all technical requirements, technical risk registers, technical programmes and resource plans including safe trials and tests.
Liaise with other manufacturing/product engineers and departments to maintain superior levels of quality and efficient production.
Apply various engineering methods to assist in creating new products
Deliver the assigned work packages to the aspects of customer (external and internal) requirements in accordance with Company governance procedures
Deliver various products in full compliance of HSE guidelines.
Requirements
Degree educated in an engineering/science discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Physics.
2+ years' experience in a relevant / highly regulated industry
Understanding of engineering processes, particularly systems engineering, requirements management, validation & verification, product safety and product certification.
Experience of engineering design and product development.
