Job Title: Level 3 SEND Nursery Assistant
Location: Derby (DE23)
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £12.83 to £14 per hour
Can you support young children learn using continuous play and lead small group activities covering all seven areas of learning?
Can you teach children using a range of strategies including good questioning techniques and dialogue to develop understanding and extend learning?
Can you encourage good manners and respectful behaviours in a positive manner?
TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a thriving and aspirational private day nursery based in Derby who uses a curriculum that is built on continuous play and children having access to resources, giving them the opportunity to make choices. The school is looking to take on a part-time Nursery Assistant for a long term period who is kind, caring and experienced in working with preschool children with special educational needs.
The successful applicant will be making sure that children are safe, happy and stimulated as well as observing children and taking notes of any problematic behaviour.
The successful Nursery Assistant will have:
NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Childcare or Early Years (required)
Previous experience working in day nurseries
Enthusiastic about making a positive difference
Driving License (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working on a 1 to 1 basis with children
Flexible and adaptable to different age groups (baby room/preschool)
