Role Summary

This role will play a pivotal role in advising senior business and technical stakeholders-including Heads of Function, IT & Transformation Directors, CTOs, CIOs -on the strategic value of digital transformation (often with a procurement lense). Your insights and expertise will enable clients to optimise costs, develop superior products and services, generate new revenue streams, enhance business resilience, and reduce carbon emissions dependent on the engagement.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with senior business and technical stakeholders to understand their strategic objectives and pain points, able to influence these to a senior level
    • Communicate the value and potential impact of digital transformation initiatives effectively
  • Digital Strategy/Procurement Development:
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive digital transformation strategies tailored to client needs
    • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, product and service enhancement, new revenue generation, business resilience, and carbon footprint reduction
    • Develop/co-design and implement client IT procurement strategy and initiatives to support current and future requirements based on market trends
  • Solution Implementation:
    • Guide clients through the implementation of digital solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
    • Oversee the execution of digital transformation and procurement projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Market and Technology Trends Analysis:
    • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in digital technologies and industry best practices
    • Provide thought leadership and innovative insights to clients, enabling them to stay ahead of the competition
  • Performance Measurement:
    • Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the success of digital transformation initiatives.
    • Deliver regular progress reports and strategic recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.

Key Skills:

  • Strategic Advisory Expertise:
    • Proven experience advising senior stakeholders on digital or IT procurement transformation and strategy
    • Strong ability to articulate complex digital concepts and strategies in a clear and compelling manner
  • Technical Acumen (Digitalisation and Procurement):
    • Deep understanding of digital technologies, including cloud computing, AI, IoT, and data analytics
    • Good understanding of digital procurement systems and strategies (including automation)
    • Ability to translate technical insights into strategic business value
  • Project Management:
    • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of delivering large-scale digital transformation/procurement projects on time and within budget
    • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key insights from data and develop actionable strategies whether this is within cost saving or otherwise
    • Proactive problem-solving abilities to overcome challenges and drive project success
  • Interpersonal and Communication:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence and persuade at all organisational levels
  • Previous Consultancy Experience: In a Procurement, Strategy Advisory or Digital Transformation capacity
