You will be a significant part of the management team in this successful Garden Landscape Contractor creating some of the finest, award winning Gardens and Landscapes. Your primary responsibility will be to bring new business into the company by maintaining regular contact with existing clients, introducing the company to new designers and landscape architects and bidding for sub-contract work.
Job Role:
Reporting to the Owner you will take responsibility the flow of new work into the company increasing sales by;
* Ensuring that you “stay on the radar” with current clients so that they continue to contact you with their new projects. These can be developers, contractors, specialist garden designers or private individuals. Increasing your productive networks within the larger organisations
* Finding new clients and making contact with designers, developers and builders who aren’t using your services. Possibly finding your leads through the activities of competitors.
* Research new market sectors, finding clients in previously untapped sectors and areas, using the database, market intelligence, industry news and a network of contacts.
Once a suitable new project has been identified you will;
* Arrange and attend client meetings delivering a strong and informed sales pitch.
* Take responsibility for keeping sales information, quotations and records updated.
* Estimating a project in line with company guidelines to create competitive quotations and tenders.
* Liaise closely with the client to evolve quotations in line with design changes.
* Using your sales skills to convert enquiries into projects.
The Person:
You will currently be working in the Garden or Landscaping sector possibly as an Estimator, Project or Contracts Manager and have several years’ experience.
* The ability to “Self-Start” and produce a level of activity that drives success.
* The ability to prioritise work and pursue opportunities with the greatest potential.
* Good communication skills and the ability to build a rapport with clients.
* An understanding of estimating a landscaping project and reading site plans and drawings.
* Have a reasonable degree of Computer Literacy
* Be organised and have good time management.
You will have a current UK Driving Licence
