Are you passionate about recruiting top talent and contributing to groundbreaking scientific advancements? As a Talent Acquisition Advisor at UKAEA, you will play a critical role in their Talent Acquisition team, supporting their talent strategy by managing the end-to-end recruitment process for permanent and fixed-term appointments up to mid-level positions. This includes creating compelling job adverts, advising hiring managers, coordinating interviews, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. Your contributions will help UKAEA stand out as an employer of choice, promoting diversity and inclusivity in their hiring practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment cycle using the Smart Recruiters applicant tracking system, from raising vacancies to offer stage, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
* Advisory Role: Provide expert guidance to hiring managers on role approval, attraction, selection strategies, shortlisting, assessment methods, and offer management, ensuring compliance and best practices are followed.
* Training and Coaching: Train and coach hiring managers on best practice recruitment techniques, Smart Recruiters usage, and behavioral interviewing skills.
* Interview Coordination: Work with departmental administrators to arrange and coordinate interviews, ensuring all logistical and compliance aspects are managed.
* Diversity and Inclusion: Actively promote diversity and eliminate bias in all recruitment activities, contributing to UKAEA's commitment to equality.
* Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key recruitment metrics, aiming to reduce time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and improve diversity statistics.
* Employer Branding: Support employer branding initiatives, recruitment campaigns, and external recruitment fairs to position UKAEA as an employer of choice.
* Offer Management: Conduct pay negotiations within the set framework, respond to candidate queries, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for complex negotiations.
* Visa Sponsorship: Advise on processes for candidates requiring visa sponsorship, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance, and fairness.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other Talent Acquisition Advisors and Coordinators, providing support and cover as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Certificate in HR Practice / CIPD Foundation award in Resourcing Talent or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in coordinating in-house or agency recruitment campaigns for multiple roles.
* Proficiency in using social media tools for employer branding and candidate sourcing.
* Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Smart Recruiters.
* Strong knowledge of recruitment-related employment law and best practices.
* Expertise in various assessment tools and methods.
* Proven track record of improving recruitment practices and gaining buy-in from stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
