A global leader, in the international wholesale energy markets is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, skilled in C# and SQL to join them and play a crucial role in building and developing an innovative, state-of-the-art system, designed to host valuation models in a scalable platform.


You will be joining and leading a collaborative and diverse, cross functional team who all share a passion and obsession for all things tech.


Day to Day Work:

  • Work as a senior member of the team to develop the system
  • Participate in the analysis and design phases as required
  • Participate in SCRUM processes and ceremonies as part of ongoing delivery
  • Be responsible for end-to-end delivery of functionality from solution design through to implementation and release
  • Mentor and review code of other developers


Ideally you will have:

  • Expert level .Net knowledge with at least seven years of commercial development .Net experience with some of that in building distributed systems.
  • Very strong knowledge backed up with commercial experience of database architecture and design
  • .Net Development- Microsoft C# with Framework 4.5 (or above)
  • A relational database technology (for example SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)- Very strong ANSI Standard SQL
  • WCF, WebApi or Windows Service hosted components
  • Distributed & Parallel programming & Multithreading experience
  • Automated unit test development and knowledge of Inversion of Control techniques
  • Cloud development (preferably Azure)


Preferably, you will have experience in working in a financial trading environment with knowledge of traded products and their full life cycle.
