London, United Kingdom Too Good To Go Full time

More than one third of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, with 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: To inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. We are the world's #1 app for fighting food waste and we work with thousands of restaurants and food retailers to make their surplus food available to local consumers. The magic of Too Good To Go has expanded rapidly across Europe, the US, and Canada, with over 323 million meals saved across our 18 countries to date.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but did we mention the issue is huge? We always want to raise the bar and that’s where you come in:

Your mission at Too Good to Go

Reporting to the COO, you will hold regional responsibility for Central Europe, UK & Ireland, and be a part of the COO’s management team. You will be responsible for leading a cross functional team of Country Directors and Business Partners in developing the business strategy and delivering the P&L results for a cluster of seven markets. As part of the Operations leadership team of the organisation you will also drive the overall strategy of Too Good To Go and ensure that our global centres of excellence (Product, Tech, Marketing, P&C, etc.) are delivering the innovation, tools, and processes necessary for us to deliver the overall business objectives and results.

This role can be based at any of our European offices.

In the role, you will…

  • Hold full P&L responsibility for a portfolio of countries across Central Europe and lead, support and challenge Country Directors in setting their strategies and delivering their goals.
  • Be responsible for leading an ambitious team of Country Directors and a supporting cast of business partners from Key Accounts, Independent Sales, P&C, Marketing, Finance and Data & Analytics; you are responsible for challenging them, providing feedback, and guidance to help them to deliver business results and develop in their careers.
  • Partner with the Country Directors to steer countries in the right direction and deliver against our ambitious growth goals. Help Country Directors develop the local leadership teams across Key Account Management, Independent Sales, People & Culture, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Represent Too Good To Go in larger, cross country Key Account meetings and support the Country Director in strategic planning and negotiations for large local accounts.
  • Be a vital member of the COO’s management team, providing thought leadership to the COO and your peers on the team to help us collectively exceed our goals in all of our global markets.
  • Partner with our Global Commercial Excellence teams (Key Accounts, Independent Accounts, Customer Care, Partner Success, etc.) and our Global Functions (Marketing, P&C, etc.) to help steer the overall commercial and strategic direction of the business.
  • Beyond scaling our business, you will be a visionary for our mission. Dreaming of a world with no food waste, you will help drive our strategic positioning to truly influence food waste and the overall global ecosystem tackling the problem.

You have the following skills and experience…

  • Substantial experience in a senior management position, preferably in a high-growth company, with prior experience in a regional or country manager role. Prior consulting experience is a plus.
  • Understanding of marketplace businesses, preferably with experience working in one
  • Extensive management, sales and business development experience
  • Background in Key Account management and corporate business development
  • Strong negotiating skills and experience leading negotiations at the VP / C-level
  • Strong leadership experience; you recruit the best people and develop your existing team. Your way of leading is coaching but you take on conflict when needed.
  • Track record of data driven decision making; you take a hypothesis driven approach to problem solving and leverage data, analytics and experimentation to make decisions
  • Technology is in your DNA. Experience in scale-ups is a plus. So is a strong digital background, with a proven record of creating and executing product launches.
  • Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to make trade-off decisions and help your team focus on the most critical business drivers for their respective markets.
  • A true passion for sustainability and fighting food waste is a MUST - you are driven by the urgency of change and action for the planet.
  • A network in the food industry is a strong plus.
  • Full business language proficiency in English and preferably (but not required) proficiency in at least one of the following languages German, Polish or Czech.

Our values

  • We win together
  • We raise the bar
  • We keep it simple
  • We build a legacy

What we have to offer

  • A rare opportunity to work in a social impact company (and certified B Corporation) where you get to wake up every day knowing you’re achieving positive change.
  • The experience of being part of an international company with 1350+ enthusiastic and highly talented teammates across 18 countries (and growing)
  • Strong personal as well as professional development in an intense and high-growth scale-up environment.
  • An open company culture where you have the independence and room to unleash your creativity.
  • A strong team culture where successes are celebrated together.

How to apply

  • We take recruitment very seriously, so please carefully check the role requirements and see our website and international media for an overview of Too Good To Go.
  • Submit your CV and Cover letter in English.
  • Please note that we only accept applications coming through our platform. No CV or Cover Letter will be accepted by email or LinkedIn direct messaging.
