Our client has sites across the country for general construction and National Grid
The successful candidates will need considerable experience in Civils and Water projects, and likely to meet all the following criteria.
Purpose of the Role:
*
* Conduct surveys of the construction site to determine its topography and dimensions.
* Create detailed site plans and maps based on survey data.
* Mark out the positions of structures, roads, utilities, and other elements according to design plans.
* Use surveying instruments such as total stations, theodolites, and GPS to establish reference points and guide construction.
* Ensure that all measurements and markings are accurate and comply with design specifications.
* Communicate with architects, designers, and project managers to understand the project’s requirements.
* Provide guidance to construction teams based on the set-out points and lines.
* Monitor the construction process to ensure it adheres to the set-out points.
* Identify and address any discrepancies between the physical construction and the design plans.
*
* Maintain detailed records of all setting out activities, including measurements, calculations, and adjustments.
* Prepare reports and update site plans as construction progresses.
Skills and Qualifications required:
*
* bachelor's degree in civil engineering, surveying, or a related field is typically required.
* Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, theodolites, GPS, and laser levels.
* Knowledge of CAD software and other design tools.
* Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
Rate is negotiable DoE
50 hours per week
