Are you ready to step into a rewarding role as a Residential Childcare Deputy Manager at a wonderful OFSTED registered residential children's home in Stafford town centre?If you have a passion for working with young people and making a real difference, this could be the perfect job for youAs a Residential Childcare Deputy Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager/Responsible Individual and ensuring that the young residents receive the highest quality care and support.The Willows supported accommodation is run by Harmony Childcare Residential Homes Limited and provides excellent care and support for up to 4 young people aged 16 to 21 years old, with spacious, well-furnished individual rooms and communal areas.Here's an outline of what you'll be doing:Putting the young people first, alwaysCreating a positive and nurturing environment within the homeWorking closely with other agencies to safeguard the young residentsKeeping all care plans and documents up to dateManaging budgets and financial aspects efficientlyLeading the team in the absence of the Registered ManagerStaying updated on legislative changes and best practicesBeing a role model for best practices and cultural sensitivityEnsure all regulations are met regarding Fire, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulation 44Adherence for all staff members to safeguarding policiesTaking on any other duties as neededTo be our ideal candidate for the Residential Childcare Deputy Manager role, you'll need:3+ years of experience of working with children/young peopleQCF Level 3 or 4 in Residential ChildcareA genuine passion for working with childrenExcellent computer skillsEnhanced DBS check will be undertakenFlexibility and willingness to go the extra mileGood communication skills and education backgroundResilience, patience, and a can-do attitudeA full Driving Licence

you will be required to take young people to appointments, family time etc.Your own vehicleUndertake sleep-in duties as required.Whats on offer:A competitive salary of circa £30,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on experience.Hours are based on an average 40 hours per week / 14.5 per day with a shift pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off.Free parking on site.Join this experienced and diverse team where your skills and dedication will truly shine as the Residential Childcare Deputy Manager.
