Job description
The Maintenance Planner will work alongside engineering team colleagues to provide an efficient and effective administration support to the team ensuring a smooth operation. Supporting both internal and external customers ensuring all administration duties relating to Engineering Projects are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. It is therefore essential that you have experience working within an engineering department to fully understand the support required which includes ordering machine parts and an understanding of machinery operations.
Main responsibilities:
Engineering document supply and control (SOP's, Risk Assessments etc.)
Raising Purchase Orders for materials, service, contracts and documenting them.
Maintain the company's quality ISO 9001; 2015 management system.
Administration of maintenance software programmes such as CMMS.
Communicating with contractors and suppliers and be able to Identify key critical engineering spares and ensure they are stocked and maintained. Work with the Engineering Team and Suppliers to ensure cost effective spare parts are sourced.
Feedback unusual movement or high consumption of spares
Purchase Order generation.
Work with Engineering to log work sheets accurately and generate reports accordingly.
Logged Engineering Team holidays following management approval.
Inform management of any obstacles to making safe, efficient deliveries on time.
Point of contact for all technical enquiries requiring an engineering response.
Preparing reports and presentations on engineering projects and data.
Maintaining technical communication.
Provide general administrative support to the engineering department.
Monitor and action job requests raised from internal and external Audits with the engineering team.
Complete checks and maintain documentation on the engineering van, including booking in services, tax and repairs.

To work in compliance with the Health & Safety Policy to ensure hazards are identified and fed back to management.
To be proactive in managing personal health, safety and well being and that of colleagues.
Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to safety.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
GCSE or level 2 or equivalent qualification in administration or technical.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical/engineering support role is essential
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and data.
Must have good analytical skills and be detail orientated.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must have the ability to work well under time constraints in a fast-placed, deadline driven environment.
Personal Specification:
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, changing priorities.
working within an engineering environment is essential as you will be working alongside highly trained engineers.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently, collaborate in a team environment.
Demonstrated aptitude for data critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Must be a team player and able to work with limited supervision.
Must be able to organize workday to complete assigned task timely.
