We are assisting a technology client who are seeking a talented 2nd Line Support Engineer. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting a wide range of systems. You will handle tickets through resolution or escalation, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This is an opportunity to be a part of a mutually supportive technical environment where your career progression is just as important as the work they carry out
Working on client site, 5 days a week you will be someone who communicates effectively and enjoys being in a face to face environment. You will be used to working in a fast paced environment and able to prioritise.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of support tickets and manage them through to resolution or escalation.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and support systems including Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), SCCM, Office 365, Mobile Device Management, Intune, Windows Servers, Server Virtualisation (HyperV/VMWare), Local Area Networking, and more.
Collaborate with team members to achieve personal and team objectives.
Provide high-quality services with a customer-focused attitude.
Manage client interaction, expectations, and feedback professionally.Technical Skills/ Requirements:
Proficiency with Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory.
Experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
Knowledge of SCCM, Office 365, Mobile Device Management, Intune, Windows Servers, and Server Virtualisation (HyperV/VMWare).
Understanding of Local Area Networking, Symantec Products, and Cisco LAN/WAN (routers, switches, ASAs).
Experience with routing/switching equipment (Cisco, Dell, HP).
Familiarity with Citrix (XenApp/XenDesktop) and SharePoint 2010/2013.
Formal IT qualification (ideally MCSE/MCITP or multiple MCPs) is highly advantageous.
