Head of Development - Development Manager - Permanent. T6/MN/18673.

£100k - £115k + £6,780 Car Allowance + 10% Bonus + Benefits Package.

Hybrid Working - Flexible - Hampshire.


The Head of Development will lead a development team consisting of - Full Stack Developers, React/Angular/Vue, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Mongo, AWS & SAP ABAP - this is a

Managerial role.

Skills Experience Required:

  • Leading Development Teams - leading design, implementation & maintenance.
  • Leadership - Coaching, mentoring Developers.
  • Development Principles - strong knowledge.
  • Development - implementing Development Best Practices - improve efficiency, reliability & scalability.
  • Developing & Implementing Development Strategies & Processes - streamline workflows.
  • Lead delivery & development Continuous Improvement - Tech Stack - Amazon Web Services (Mongo, Express, React & Node), SAP ABAP Development on SAP ECC6.
  • Public Cloud - AWS (ideally) or similar.
  • CI/CD - Implementing & managing CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Conducting Code Reviews.
  • Application Roadmap - determine & maintain Short & Long-Range Application Roadmap.
  • Collaborating with Development, Operations & QA teams.
  • Managing Release Cycles.
  • Ideally - come from a Full Stack Development Background - experience with JavaScript, TypeScript & Node.js.
  • Ideally - knowledge of Python based platforms.
  • Third Parties - partner with external IT/Tech providers.
  • Security Best Practices.
  • Agile Methodology - planning, prioritisation, resource management etc.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills.


Desirable Experience:

  • CI Jenkins, GitLab & CI/CD.
  • SAP Landscape Awareness.
  • Operational Technology Processes & PLCs - Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Legacy Lotus Domino platforms - migration from Legacy platforms.
