Appian - Technical Architect

We are seeking an experienced Appian Technical Architect with a strong background in the risk management domain to join our globally established consulting company for an exciting project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex Appian applications that support risk management processes and operations. This role requires a deep understanding of Appian's platform, as well as expertise in risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Responsibilities

Architecture Design : Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and design scalable, secure, and high-performance Appian solutions that meet the organization's risk management needs.

Solution Implementation : Lead the development and implementation of Appian applications, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in risk management.

Technical Leadership : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, ensuring the adoption of best coding practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.

Integration and Data Management : Design and implement integrations between Appian applications and other systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and data integrity.

Performance Optimization : Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Appian applications, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning strategies.

Risk Management Expertise : Leverage in-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and regulations (e.g., Basel III, CCAR, DFAST, CECL) to ensure compliance and alignment with industry best practices.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer : Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, conduct knowledge transfer sessions, and contribute to the development of internal standards and best practices.

Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Appian Technical Architect or a similar role, with a strong focus on risk management applications.

Appian Expertise : Proven expertise in Appian platform development, including Appian SAIL, Appian Records, Appian Integration Services, and Appian Portals.

Risk Management Knowledge : In-depth understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulations, such as Basel III, CCAR, DFAST, and CECL.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, SQL), data modeling, and integration technologies (e.g., web services, APIs, ETL).

Communication and Collaboration : Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management : Experience in leading and managing complex projects, including resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder management.

Preferred QualificationsnAppian Certified Associate or Appian Certified Professional certificationnExperience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)nKnowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practicesnExperience in financial services or banking industry
