What will your role entail?
* Accurately prepare suitability reports and letters
* Ensure all client work is compliant and supported with relevant paperwork
* Undertake comparative research in preparation of client recommendations
* Complete technical research as part of the existing arrangement review process
* Perform tax planning analysis
* Produce and analyse cash flow modelling
* Understand clients’ overall financial position from independent financial adviser fact finds
* Discuss client objectives with the relevant adviser, identifying and obtaining necessary client information to prepare the required suitability checks
* Ensure all client queries are appropriately investigated and accurate responses given
* Conduct annual reviews in line with service level agreements
* Keep up to date with all relevant product, legislative, and technical changes
* Attain and maintain a level of competence as required
* Ensure relevant continuing professional development (CPD) is maintained and recorded accurately
What credentials will you have?
* Experienced Paraplanner - ideally with 2 years+ in the role
* Able to 'problem solve’ and formulate solutions.
* Level 4 Diploma ideally or very nearly qualified
* Excellent knowledge of key areas of financial planning, to include trusts, personal taxation, pension legislation, protection, and investment principles.
* Attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong professional interpersonal skills dealing with both advisers, colleagues and clients, with the aptitude to quickly build rapport.
* Fully competent with MS Office, with expert Excel knowledge an advantage. Ideal candidates will also be familiar with industry-specific computer applications.
* Ability to work on own initiative with strong organisational skills to plan and manage own workload and prioritise tasks as appropriate.
