Role Overview:
As a Year 2 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in accordance with the KS1 curriculum, ensuring that all students are engaged, challenged, and supported. Your duties will include:
Planning and delivering dynamic, engaging lessons across all subjects in the KS1 curriculum.
Creating a positive learning environment where students are motivated to learn and grow.
Differentiating lessons to cater to the diverse learning needs of your students, ensuring all children, including those with SEN, can thrive.
Tracking pupil progress through assessments and using data to inform future planning.
Managing classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of the children.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a passionate educator with excellent classroom management skills.
Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and a track record of delivering engaging, creative lessons.
Demonstrate a commitment to professional development and a desire to continuously improve.
Possess outstanding communication skills, able to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be fully registered.
Be well-organised, with the ability to plan ahead, meet deadlines, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of the students.
