The school is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. All appointments are subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check (DBS) and satisfactory references.
Job Summary:
Provide classroom supervision for pupils where colleagues are absent from duty.
Complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities.
Maintain accurate records in the teacher's absence, such as providing feedback to the teacher and keeping accurate registers.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure that lesson objectives set by a teacher are met.
Support students in completing tasks and understanding the material.
Report back on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.
Qualifications:
4 or more GCSEs at Grade C/4 or higher, including English and Maths (or equivalent grades/qualifications) essential.
Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but is not essential.
Strong classroom management skills and ability to promote a positive learning environment.
Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:

Has a friendly manner and can communicate effectively with staff and students.
Can work effectively as part of a team but can also work independently using their own initiative.
Has experience of working in a similar specialist area.
