My client, a small, privately owned developer, is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to work across multiple small residential schemes across Essex. With their HQ based in Sittingbourne you would be required to work in both locations.
This is a great opportunity for an experience Quantity Surveyor who would be excited to work for a an exciting and growing business
Duties,
Consult with clients to understand their requirements and needs
Conduct feasibility studies: Evaluate proposed projects
Calculate costs re: Estimate the cost of materials, labour, and timeframes
Prepare documents including tender packages, contracts, and bills of quantities
Manage risk by Identifying and weighing up commercial risks
Negotiate contracts and schedules
Manage budgets by Overseeing payments and ensure work is completed within budget
Monitor progress to ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards, and monitor construction progress
Provide budget and progress reports, and analyse repair and maintenance costs
Advising on legal matters, including risks and disputes
Overseeing sub-contractors throughout the stages of construction
Reporting on costs and preparing accounts for payment
Keeping up to date with construction methods and materials
Following health and safety and building regulationQualifications,
Worked as Quantity Surveyor within the residential sector
Quantity surveying degree
Excellent communication skills & problem solving
Knowledge about building techniques
Budgeting skills
Organisational and planning skills
Negotiation and leadership skills
Strong work ethic, drive and ambition
