We are looking for someone with a keen desire to learn and grow their skills within an aerial survey role. Full training is given, with progression into an Airborne Sensor Operator role a realistic expectation. Prior experience is advantageous.

About the role:nThe purpose of the role is to work alongside the existing aerial survey operations team and assist with the delivery and fulfilment of high-quality aerial survey projects and ensuring that all opportunities are maximised, and the data is of the highest quality and to the required specification.

Location:nBased at our head office in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire and Birmingham Airport.

Responsibilities:nThe responsibilities for the position of Junior Airborne Sensor Operator include, but are not limited to:nOperate airborne camera and sensing systems, including Vexcel Eagle, Optech Galaxy, Leica CityMappernEnsure the sensor systems are calibrated at an operation level at all times in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructionsnLiaise with sensor manufacturers about maintenance and other issuesnLiaise with ATC and other departments for flight permissionsnSurvey mission planning (flight planning)nAssist sales with enquiries and quotesnSensor InstallationnLiaise with aircraft operators and ensure all permissions, visas etc. are in place before project commencementnMonitor weather conditions to identify appropriate weather windows for data capture.nField testing and calibration of instrumentsnAssist with LiDAR production and processingnUndertake and assist with LiDAR and ground truthingnCo-ordinate survey missions to ensure maximum efficiencyn​nRequirements:nMust be eligible to work in the UK and communicate fully in EnglishnAn understanding of Aerial Survey and Remote SensingnOrganisational and multi-tasking skillsnAnalytical, Numeracy and well-developed Interpersonal skillsnDiplomacy and the ability to work to deadlinesnExcellent verbal and written communication skillsn​nDesired Qualifications:nA degree in a Geographical, Remote Sensing or GIS related disciplinen​nPackage & Benefits:nSalary + company bonus schemenLife insurance and company pensionnSodexo discounts, benefits and childcare voucher schemenFree daily HIIT, Yoga, Bootcamp and relaxation sessionsn​nApplications:nPlease email a CV and covering letter to:
