Our client is currently seeking a Head of Business Development to spearhead their growth initiatives and drive success in the dynamic cereal and bakery sector, with a focus on breaking into major UK retailers.
Responsibilities:
* Formulate and execute strategic business development plans to achieve growth objectives within the cereal and bakery industry, specifically targeting major UK retailers.
* Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and business opportunities to expand market presence and drive revenue growth.
* Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes, informing strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of business development initiatives.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and retail partners.
* Utilise data-driven insights to assess market dynamics, evaluate opportunities, and drive business performance.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA (preferred)
* Proven track record of success in business development roles within the cereal and bakery industry (essential)
* Strong understanding of market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape in the food industry.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Strategic mindset with a focus on results and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
