Role Overview: As the Head of Physics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the Physics department. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Physics department, providing strategic direction and support to staff.
* Develop and implement an engaging and challenging Physics curriculum that aligns with the school's objectives.
* Mentor and support departmental staff, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
* Monitor student progress and attainment, implementing effective intervention strategies where necessary.
* Oversee the organization of extracurricular activities and educational trips related to Physics.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school initiatives and development plans.
Requirements:
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a degree in Physics or related field.
* Proven experience teaching Physics at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a commitment to fostering positive relationships within the school community.
