Here at Boccard, we have an exciting opportunity for a standalone Payroll Lead to join our HR team based in Sale. Previous payroll experience is essential as the role is responsible for the full Payroll provision for the UK business covering both salaried and weekly payrolls.



This is a full time role 37.5 hours per week based at our Sale office, however the role holder ca

nwork flexibly including the opportunity for working from home / office and we will consider applicants who prefer to work part time (min 3 days per week)

This is a critical role, ensuring our valued, highly skilled workforce are paid accurately and on time everytime. The role plays a key part in supporting employee engagement and its imperative the roleholder has a customer focussed approach. The postholder will manage and process both weekly and monthly payrolls and associated returns in accordance with statutory requirements and internal reporting processes. d:Responsible for the whole payroll /employee life cycle, undertaking accurate and timely payroll administration and manageme

ntLiaising with staff and management on payroll related queries including benefits for example Pensio

nsUnderstanding process with a view to making improvements to benefit the company and its employe

esUndertake payroll administration and communication to employees, Line Managers, Human Resources and third parties in relation to payroll and pension transactio

nsSupport the Finance, HR, production and projects tea

msKnowledge and experience of interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime, shift allowances et

c.Responsible for issuing P45’s, statutory forms and any other ad-hoc payroll related documentati

onEnsure all deadlines are met and procedures follow

edCalculation and payment of termination paymen

tsUpdating Payroll System (Advanced) with New Starters, and Leave

rsResponsible for compliance with HMRC regulations including sending all submissions after each payro

llTo keep abreast of any changes in employment law, statutory or regulatory requirements and best practice in relation to payroll and benefi

tsInvolvement in pay and HR related projects as appropria

Qualifications / Experie

nceIdeally professionally qualified to CIPP level 5, with a good level of education, including GCSE Maths & English. At least 5 years previous payroll experience required with demonstrable understanding of indepth end-to-end payroll, pension & PAYE deductions. Experience of utilising computerised payroll systems. Excellent working knowledge of payroll and processes, workflows and best practi

ce.Excellent administration experience along with high IT literacy including Outlook, Word & Excel. A strong team player with a highly organised and methodical approach, you’ll have the ability to prioritise, coordinate, manage and balance multiple projects and meet deadlines, and provide an outstanding payroll service to the busine
