Control & Instrumentation Technician

What will you do? Make an impactThe role holder will provide electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) support to Operations and Engineering teams by performing all duties in accordance with documented work requirements, legislation and the company's policies and objectives, maintaining and improving performance in the areas of Safety, Quality and Environment. They will also be responsible for ensuring that appropriate repair and maintenance requirements are identified and undertaken as necessary to maintain plant availability and improve efficiency. What you'll be doing: Advise management of safety issues. Carry out risk assessment and method statement for routine and defect maintenance of tasks as required. Carry out PM inspections on all safety instrumented systems. Carry out break down/routine maintenance as required. Maintain a good standard of housekeeping. Provide EC&I maintenance support to maximise plant operations Assist in the detailed planning of and preparation for plant maintenance shut down periods. Recommend modifications or maintenance procedures that enhance the plants or department's performance. What you'll be doing:Advise management of safety issues. Willingness to attend site 'out of hours' to manage breakdown and/or emergency situations. Pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Strong written and verbal communication skills. CompEx certification.
