We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team at Drovo. As the in house Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems relating to the Drovo digital screens mounted on vehicles.
In this role, you will install, diagnose and troubleshoot the Drovo Digital screens which need to go on top of vehicles. This include initial wiring, connection and fuse checks, and trouble. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing regular maintenance checks and ensuring that all electrical components are operating correctly.
To excel in this position, you should have a thorough understanding of electrical systems in electric, hybrid and petrol vehicles. You should also have excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities, as well as good attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team are also important.
We are looking for a full time individual who is keen to deliver their expertise on the auto electrician side of things and also get their teeth into the digital screen and advertising industry. This role has great potential for growth and development as we will be scaling into Europe next and this is the first technical hire as part of the fulfilment team.
Requirements
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical electrical wiring of the Drovo digital screens and the vehicles they are installed
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including wiring problems, faulty switches, and malfunctioning electronic systems and wiring
  • Basic handy work skills, using wrenches, nuts and bolts, screwdrivers etc as part of the electrical installation of the hardware (screens)
  • Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and fix electrical issues, perform pre and re-wiring of units and perform regular maintenance checks to ensure proper safe functioning of electrical components
  • Provide guideline and support to create and update relevant documentation for best practices and processes of the installation needs
  • Assist with the administrative management (inventory, tracking, input onto system etc) as well as the of the units
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and tasks relevant to screen installations
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
  • Provide excellent communication

What You Will Need
  • Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or similar role, ideally experience with wiring auxiliary systems and hardware across multiple vehicle types
  • Knowledge of electrical systems in vehicles, including wiring, circuitry, and electronic components
  • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems in vehicles
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Good communication and willingness to be flexible
  • Relevant certification or qualification is preferred
  • An eagerness to learn about the Out of Home advertising industry and grow within the business
