Pre-Production Operative

Wise Employment are looking to recruit a Pre-Production Operative to join an amazing team in Crediton. This amazing role is a Full Time Permanent position offers a salary of £24,960, along with some fantastic benefits such as a Christmas Shutdown and much, use of a company van and much more. You will be working Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm and Fridays 7 or 8am to 1 or 2pm.

The day to day responsibilities of a Pre-Production Operative include:
Issuing material to all areas as per the production schedule
Take delivery and receipt of all incoming purchase orders and store raw materials in the correctly
Check the quality check incoming material.
General store management, such as stock taking
Metal waste management across both sites: check all swarf skips & empty ones that are full, highlight any mixed skips, tip away all drained coolant. Organise metal waste collections
Oil management: Stock control of all open coolant barrels at both sites, by replacing empty barrels and write off new stock used.
Drive to local subcontractor companies to drop off and collect parts
Saw management e.g. remove scrap metal, Swarf and top up coolant
Strip and return special and normal tools to tool stores
Tool jobs as per the production schedule
General Pre tooling tasks.
In order to be a successful Pre Production Operative you must:
Hold a full UK drivers licence
Have previous forklift experience (licence is desirable not essential, if you have an out of date or have not held one it will be assessed on a case by case basis)
Able to work under pressure
Have the desire to progress and learn within an CNC company
