Globally recognized in the industry, the binder group operates nine sales offices, seven production sites, two system service providers, and an innovation and technology center. With approximately 2,000 employees worldwide, binder collaborates with distribution partners across six continents. In addition to Germany, binder has a strong international presence with facilities in countries such as the UK, China, the USA, and across Europe and Asia. Operating from Hemel Hempstead, binder UK was established in 2009 to serve and develop the UK and Irish markets. Local stock holding, customer service, market knowledge and technical competence sets binder apart in the UK market. ROLE Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a full-time remote role for a Regional Sales Manager covering the UK South region. The role involves managing and expanding sales operations, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strong relationships with customers and distributors while achieving sales growth targets. On a day-to-day basis, you will be required to provide technical solutions, manage customer accounts, collaborate with internal teams in the UK and Germany, and deliver product presentations to customers. RESPONSIBILITIES Take ownership for and ensure appropriate sales targets are achieved and exceeded. Anticipate, plan for and measure business conditions occurring within the nominated market segments and drive proactive, professional initiatives. Participate in negotiation of key contracts at major accounts. Profitably grow market share. Provide input to local and global sales initiatives as appropriate. Understand overall market dynamics and how developing trends can be satisfied through new product development and positioning strategies. Proactively work with product management where appropriate, to advise future product needs/extensions. Maintain excellent communication links on a regular basis with colleagues in UK and Germany. Develop progressive business relationships with key decision makers within target customer base. Provide input to original budget submissions, quarterly and monthly forecasts as appropriate. Participate in and help develop local tactical sales plans. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven experience of technical sales in the connector industry. A demonstratable track-record of new business development and key-account management. Thorough understanding of target markets, the dynamics that exist within those customers that make up those markets, strong application know-how, product positioning tactics and competitive threats. Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Strategically minded, with leadership qualities and winning mentality. Major commercial acumen, with strong negotiating and communication skills. Strong team ethic, aligned to continuous improvement culture. Willingness to travel as required within the assigned region and to Germany. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook). Preferred skills and experience Experience of Salesforce or similar CRM system. Experience of SAP ERP.
