To support the growth of the company we are seeking a menswear designer who is passionate about tailoring and formal wear and have multi product experience and who is used to working in a fast paced environment .nThis is a fantastic opportunity to support the team based in central London and designing for leading retailers and etailers .nJOB RESPONSIBILITIESnDesign seasonal and trend led in house collections in line with customer design aestheticnIdentify emerging trends and potential gaps in the customer product range, capitalise on gaps by proposing appropriate fabrics and styling optionsnWork closely with in house account management teams to provide customer with continuous and excellent service and help the business progressnCarry out fabric and trend research on an ongoing basis, present findings to in house teams and customernExtensive fabric and trim knowledgenStrong understanding of Supplier BackgroundnPreparing and leading customer development days, actioning development samples according to briefnRaising and updating design tech packs and checking samples against them.nManaging development critical path, working closely with suppliers and production sites, regularly updating customer on sample progress though sample CPs and ensuring samples are delivered in time for range build and sign off meetingsnLiaising daily with mills, factories and customer buying teams, establishing close professional relationships on all sides.nRequire to travel for fabric sourcing / factory / trade fairsnManaging customer accounts and work closely with other departments.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTSnSix years + relevant menswear design experience (within tailoring, formal separates/ multi-product)nStrong Adobe Suite CAD skills and Microsoft Office skillsnStrong understanding of Tailoring and WovensnExcellent organisational skills and attention to detail.nA confident, proactive approach capable of working effectively in a team under pressure in a demanding fast paced environmentnAbility to interact effectively with suppliers and colleagues at all levels.nPrevious experience working with high street or supplier business.nCommercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge.nConfident when presenting and attending customer meetings.nHave a good understanding of priorities and communicate with factories and fabric mills
