Position: Operations Director

Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking an operationally led Operations Director.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the day-to-day requirements of the business with regard to Safety, Quality, Costs, and Downtime
  2. Create a customer-focused continuous improvement culture
  3. Participate in the Development of a Production Strategy to improve production performance, maintenance performance, customer service, and quality
  4. Create a culture to encourage and develop all employees with clear responsibilities and ownership
  5. Keep up to date with new technologies and machinery coordinating with the Group’s Production and Logistics Director
  6. Look for new developments in production, visiting suppliers, and other plants
  7. Participate in the Development of the Investment Plan and People Plan which supports the Production Strategy
  8. Build an appropriate meeting and report structure which tracks performance against targets, and is used to review and improve performance and processes
  9. Build an appropriate meeting and report structure for performance management assessment of the team with action plans to be followed
Role Requirements:
  1. Candidates who apply will be required to hold a degree within Engineering
  2. Experience of managing the complete operational function within a large, fast-paced manufacturing plant
  3. Experience within Packaging would be an advantage
  4. Chartered Engineer status would be a plus
  5. Negotiating techniques and skills, dispute resolution, etc.
  6. Team Management, Leadership
