We are recruiting a Logistic Technician to join our client based in Middlesbrough who are a global leader in pharmaceutical synthesis and specialty ingredients.
The ideal candidate will be involved in safety critical tasks such as loading and off-loading bulk liquid tankers, reporting directly to the Day Process Supervisor.
This is a temporary ongoing contract working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, potentially working across sites in both Middlesbrough and Billingham.
Responsibilities:
* Checking daily tanker movements against the daily movements schedule, cross referencing order numbers and products
* Checking conditions and weights of road barrels to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures
* Loading and unloading road barrels and ensuring that they are labelled correctly before leaving site
* Support shift teams in some processing activities such as drumming and de-drumming of IBCs and drums, filtration, and blending
* Conducting monthly stock checks
* Following bulk transfer operating discipline adhering to line integrity check procedures
* Ensuring product quality is maintained through material transfer and dispatch
* Complying with site dangerous goods procedures in relation to labelling and classification of movements
* Following bulk transfer operating discipline adhering to line integrity check procedures
* Providing high quality and complete verbal and written handovers to colleague
Requirements:
* Physically able to work outdoors in all weathers
* Outstanding approach to personal safety as well as the safety of others
* High degree of responsibility and total adherence to procedures
* PC literate
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* Experience in chemical industry preferred
* Valid FLT License essential
* Driving License essential
