Our client Nylaplas Engineering is a specialist manufacturer of precision plastic components and distributor of advanced engineering plastics. With over 45 years’ experience, they supply a diverse range of plastic materials to a variety of industries including aerospace and defence, healthcare, telecoms, oil and gas and Formula 1 to name a few.
Role Description
This is a full time on-site position based in Nailsea for a Sales Advisor. You will be responsible for lead generation, quoting enquiries, account management, communication, relationship building and customer service. The role will involve collaborating with existing clients and new businesses to understand their needs, providing product information, managing accounts and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth and profitability by managing customers accounts, identifying new business opportunities and providing exceptional customer service within a broader sales team.
Key responsibilities:
* Customer Relationship Management: To build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Sales Support: Provide comprehensive sales support by preparing quotes, processing orders and managing sale documentation.
* Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, outbound calls and follow-ups on marketing leads.
* Quotation follow up: Timely follow up quotes with outbound calls to improve quote conversion and enhance overall customer service.
* Product knowledge: Develop a thorough understanding of the company’s range of plastic materials and applications to effectively address customer enquiries and provide accurate information.
* Sales Targets: To meet or exceed sales targets and KPI’s as set by the Management team.
* Reporting: To maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions and pipeline opportunities using the company’s monitoring and reporting system.
* Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback to provide insights and recommendations for sales strategies.
* Team Collaboration: To work closely with colleagues in Sales and Admin, and Quality and Estimation departments to ensure a cohesive approach to both sales and customer service.
* Problem Resolution: Handle customer queries and issues promptly, ensuring a satisfactory resolution to maintain customer trust.
* Training and Development: Continuously update skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development opportunities.
Qualifications / Skills and Experience:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in using a computer and possible sales related tools.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Goal-orientated with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
* Proven ability to close sales.
* Eye for detail and methodical approach.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Responsible and reliable.
* Eagerness to learn and develop.
* Previous experience within a sales environment and manufacturing/engineering is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
Package Includes:
* Office-based role with 36 ¼ hours per week and early finish on Friday
(Mon-Thurs 8:15 – 17:00, Fri – 14:30)
* 28 days holiday including bank holidays (increasing to 33 days)
* On site free parking
