A major player in commercial vehicle aftermarket electronics and safety products is seeking a highly experienced PRODUCTION ENGINEER for a newly commissioned bespoke cable harness and connector department. A cash rich company turning over more than £70m per year, this new venture offers a custom, on demand and flexible added value service.


We are seeking for a “day one” Production Engineer to tale ownership and build process framework. Responsibilities include:


--Taking a design to scaled manufacture

---Organise the department (stock, assembly methodology/process, operating training SOPs)

--Play a key role in developing company process working between design - purchasing - production

--Quality, validation Root cause solution


This is a long-term development programme with the focus on building structure, systems, and scalability.


Your Profile:

--Experience in cable harness and connector manufacturing.

--Ability to develop solid process and systems of work for assembly staff and department.

--Establish a robust embedded quality system in production.

--Comfortable with setting up a “day one” operation.

--Understanding of a scaled product.

--Ability to develop and establish standard operating practices and procedures.
