About the role:
We are looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants to work for a leading care provider in UK, to work with adults within a care home setting. You will work predominately with elderly with Dementia. Duties will include:
* To create a home environment that exceeds the needs of the elderly people, enabling them to develop their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives.
* To provide a stimulating environment, implementing educational, personal and social development of the adults
* Contributing to the resident's care plans and risk assessments
* To provide personal care and moving & handling support at the time of the need
* Administer medication to service users
* To meet the emotional and physical needs of our residents and maximise opportunities for their development
* Oversee other staff working on the shift and provide support to other members of staff on the shift
SHIFTS: 8 hour shifts either days or afternoons, depending on your preference. We are looking for someone who can commit to as many shifts as possible.
Locations: DE55, Alfreton
Pay Rate: £13 /HR
This is a ongoing role, there can be an opportunity to go on a permanent contract.
Candidate requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years of working experience within care setting.
* Operate with a caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude.
* Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.
* The ability to accurately follow instructions and keep records.
* Flexible in their approach and sensitive to the needs of residents
* Have the ability to form positive relationships with residents, their families and professional colleagues
* Medication training is beneficial but not mandatory
* Minimum of NVQ Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care
