Our client are a small, well established freight forwarder based in Chertsey who due to exciting expansion have a new role available for a Pricing Executive. The successful candidate should have previous experience of pricing/quotations from within the freight forwarding industry. This is a Mon-Friday/37.5hr week and excellent prospects are available for the right person.

Overall Purpose of the Job

To ensure all work is undertaken and actioned correctly in accordance with company procedures and policies. Ensuring that our customers and overseas agents receive a good level of service.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities for the Pricing Executive

  • Quoting the best prices to our customers and agents
  • Ensure a strong rapport is kept with our customers and agents
  • Chasing for feedback so we can continue to improve our rates and services
  • Negotiating rates with airlines, agents and hauliers
  • Ensure the quotes are properly handed over to operations after a booking
  • Ensure to work compliantly with AEO and compliance procedures.
  • Ensure that all relevant emails, documents and information are uploaded / added into Boxtop.
  • Assist other staff members when required
  • Ensure that a clear and comfortable communication line is kept between us and our customers

Skills and Qualifications required for the Pricing Executive

  • Previous freight forwarding pricing and/or experience of quotations

Essential Requirements

  • Steady 5 year employment/education with ideally no gaps
  • Able to pass a CLEAR DBS check
  • Able to easily commute to Chertsey

Employment Terms

  • 37.5hr week M-F
  • £32k DOE
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
