We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Maidenhead nursery in our new baby room that is due to open in April 2024.

Our Bright Horizons Maidenhead Day Nursery and Preschool is a beautiful, 93 place purpose-built setting which opened in 2019. It's Ofsted rated 'Good' and has 5 spacious and well-equipped rooms including a baby sensory area, and areas specifically for art, construction play and a reading corner. All rooms have access to the large garden area including a patio area which is often used for messy play. The nursery is based just a 10 minute walk from the nearest train station, and has onsite parking.

*What you’ll be doing*
* Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
* Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
* Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
* Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
* Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

*What we’re looking for*
* Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
* Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
* Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
* Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
* Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
* Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
