Company: Our client is a Tier 1 contractor seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage multiple ICT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Role Overview:
As the IT Project Manager, you will report directly to the IT Programme Manager and take ownership of delivering multiple concurrent ICT projects across the full lifecycle. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising projects in line with the organisation's governance criteria. Your role will include aspects of business analysis, project management, and test management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategy & Planning: Define and manage project scope, milestones, and deliverables. Liaise with stakeholders, plan project timelines, and track progress against the plan.
* Acquisition & Deployment: Estimate resources, draft budgets, and coordinate efforts across teams, consultants, and vendors.
* Operational Management: Direct and manage end-to-end project delivery, identify risks and issues, and ensure timely reporting on project status.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years in IT project management roles.
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Prince2, PMI, or APM.
* Experience in IT infrastructure, COTS software, mobile apps, Office 365, IoT, or Big Data projects.
* Familiarity with working within an ITIL environment.
* Proficiency with project software tools (e.g., MS Project, MS Project Server).
Measures of Success:
* Effective and timely project management and communication with stakeholders.
* Proactive risk management and resolution.
* Deliverables produced to the required quality and timescale.
Service Standards:
* Demonstrate a hands-on approach to technical challenges.
* Adhere to the organisation's project methodology.
* Maintain professional and prompt communication.
Additional Information:
* Be willing to travel to other company locations, including overseas, as required.
* Ensure all work aligns with company policies and procedures.
