Senior Buyer

My client RC frame grounds contractor has an opportunity for an experienced Buyer minium 5 years experience to join their team on a permanent basis at their office in West london Greenford
Responsible for the buying/purchasing on a number of projects with a value of £1.0m to £5.0m.
Task& Responsibilities
· Efficient preparation and submission of tenders/documentation to suppliers.
· Analysing drawings, bills of materials / quantities and other project documentation to estimate costs for the estimating team
· Raising POs for raw materials and component parts
· Identification and assessment of new vendors
· Expediting supplier deliveries and negotiating with suppliers to achieve improvement on lead times
· Negotiating pricing and other terms with suppliers to improve cost base and deliver savings
Our ideal candidate will be:
· Experienced in a Purchasing or Buyer role within the construction sector.
· Experienced working in a time-critical environment
· Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
· Proficient in the use of Excel together with accounts packages e.g. Sage
